**The Opportunity**

This highly regarded food manufacturer is experiencing significant growth and is looking to add an Automation Engineer to its Automation & Controls Team.

There is a constant volume of project and daily production automation work and will provide a capable Automation Engineer with valuable experience in high speed, high volume food production.

**The Role**

You will be responsible for supporting food production and associated systems as a member of the Automation & Controls Team. The duties are broad in scope, focusing primarily on Process Control & Design, Optimisation, and Continuous Improvement within a high volume food production facility.

As the Automation Engineer, your main role will be providing the link between the Automation & Controls Team and Projects, Manufacturing and Services departments. You will offer technical support on all aspects of Automation, Control, Optimisation and Specification.

**Skills & Experience**
- Degree or proven hands-on training in Engineering or IT.
- Knowledge of Krones production lines.
- Proactive personality and driven to take charge in a dynamic environment.
- Resilient and calm under pressure.
- Experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment with an understanding of machine safety, quality standards and continuous improvement.
- Testing, diagnostics and validation skills - strong problem-solving abilities.
- Technical knowledge across various Automation and Controls (eg. SCADA, Siemens PLC, Rockwell PLC).
- Programming ability to develop or assess PLC-based systems and implement design-based control system improvements.
