Our client is one of the major exporters of New Zealand’s forest products. Their major product lines are Radiata Pine logs and sawn lumber, and their product range encompasses the panel products, particle board and OSB.
Due to expanding markets and an internal transfer they have a key vacancy within their team for an export administrator who ideally has a working knowledge and experience within the export industry and associated documentation. This is a fast-paced role where attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to multi-task are paramount.
Working within a small but dynamic team environment, you will be responsible for:
- Liaising with a range of agencies such as customs, shipping companies, shipping agents, chamber of commerce, MAF
- Communicating and liaising with customers
- Preparation of export documentation which includes, letters of credit, bills of lading, certificates of origin, insurance, checking manifests, etc
- General administrative duties as required
To be successful in this role you will need to have well established communications skills, be super organised but flexible enough to cope with changing priorities. You will have the ability to work within set processes and systems and manage your time extremely well. Excellent computer literacy, with particular regard to Microsoft Excel, along with the ability to pick up new systems with ease is also a key requirement.
