Our Oncology and Palliative Care department is
located in Christchurch Hospital, this department specialises in seeing
and treating patients diagnosed and being treated for Cancer. This is a
primarily outpatient focused service seeing approximately 57,000 patients in
our outpatient service each year.
As a Transcriptionist, you will be working in this
fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in our service, helping to
achieve the best outcomes for our tūroro (patients) and whanaū while working
within a great kapa (team).
This is a full-time, permanent position based in
Christchurch Hospital.
As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay
Equity Claim settlement this role has been mapped to National Band 3 /Profile 3B.

This role will see you providing quality
secretarial support to a busy but very friendly department. Your role

**will predominantly involve**:

- Transcribing clinical dictation
- Coordinating appointments with our clinicians and tūroro (patients)
- Collating information and ensuring completeness of the record
- Providing excellent customer serviceYour skills will include:

speed of 50-70 wpm)
