Systems Specialist

**About us**:

**About the role**:
This role sits in ASB Transactional Banking platform and is responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting the IT Infrastructure hosting backend systems for transaction processing. As a small squad, we are highly cross-functional and expanding, so you will work on multiple technologies and build up yourself side by side.

You'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work on an enterprise scale in transactional banking space, all while being part of a smaller squad that makes their own decisions about how to work through prioritisation - so your voice will be heard and your opinions valued.

This will include the following responsibilities:

- Analysis and Support - IT Infrastructure
- Continuously improve processes and solutions to be scalable and highly available
- Standardising and automating support task
- Setting up monitoring alerting and reporting
- Certificate implementation and management
- Mentoring and uplifting squad capability
- Afterhours Support (If required)

**About you**:
We advocate agile, fully cross functional teams which will take you through all facets of engineering in any given day. We are looking for a mix of technical skills, including:

- 3-5 years' experience administering systems
- Experience with scripting. E.g., PowerShell, Bash, SQL
- Extensive experience with Windows & Linux operating systems
- Experience working within Agile and DevOps frameworks
- Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g. TFS, GitHub, Octopus, Azure Devops)
- Working knowledge of VMware, MS Active Directory, Proxy, DNS, DHCP
- Enterprise networking, load balancing and routing knowledge
- Certificate Management

**Bonus points**:

- Domain knowledge in Payment Industry
- Integration technologies and APIs
- Cloud Certifications (Azure or AWS preferred)
- Database experience - both relational and non-relational
