With a robust multi year roadmap IDEXX has invested heavily to grow Vello’s team here in our Auckland R&D center of excellence. We’re seeking a skilled Intermediate Full Stack Engineer, responsible for building new features, fixing bugs, maintaining the Vello framework and existing code structures while contributing to the overall success of the platform.

**At launch Vello key features include**:
Automated appointment reminders and confirmations that reduce no-shows and save valuable time for teams.
Health service reminders that inform pet owners of upcoming or past-due services, such as vaccinations or annual wellness visits.
Online scheduling that enables pet owners to conveniently request appointments directly from health service reminders or through the Vello software.
Two-way texting that enables immediate connection with pet owners, automatically updating the patient record and communication log without character count limitations or extra fees.
Pre-appointment instructions that drive both visit and diagnostic compliance, including fecal or urine sample reminders, drop-off and pickup times, and recommended blood work.

Where you’ll play
Design and build features as part of a team
Diagnose and resolve system glitches (bugs)
Assist with bug escalations of critical nature
Diagnose and rectify system slowness or resource intensive code
Maintain the Vello framework, existing code structure, and the cloud environment
Constantly monitoring the Vello cloud environment, reacting appropriately to assist in the 100% uptime goal
Contribute to all front line BAU process and aid in further improving the process
Shared responsibility with peer intermediate developers to organise and manage meetings when BAU team KPIs fall out of the ideal range - large bug counts, slow user experience, or high resource usage
Provide technical mentoring to the new starters and junior team members

**What you’ll need**:
5 years' experience as a Software Engineer

Proven technical capability with software design

Experience working with, managing, and evolving beautiful code

Experience with principles and practices related to cloud technologies

Previous experience in SaaS environment

**Experience is valuable with the following technologies**: Node JS, React Typescript

K nowledge of T est D riven D evelopment. Working knowledge of Agile / Scrum.
