Manage a Communication Program and stakeholder engagement

This role is to establish and manage a program of communication and stakeholder engagement actions across the Alliances Portfolio including consultation, customer information actions and advocacy campaigns

**Key Responsibilities will include**:

- Attend and contribute to meetings with our stakeholders to support City Rail Link Limited, Link Alliance, KiwiRail and the Auckland Light Rail team.
- Coordinate replies to media enquiries with our partners
- Work in collaboration with the key partners and their communication teams on joint press releases

**What are we looking for?**
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience, preferably in public sector communications, public relations roles, or in a journalism organisation
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience in public sector communications, public relations or within a journalism organisation
- Experience working in a senior Communications team
- Developing and implementing communications strategies and plans
- An understanding of the machinery of local government and demonstrated ability experience working effectively within a political environment
- Conversant in Te Reo Māori
