Our client is a construction specialist known in the market for providing quality fabrication services for the electricity industry. Originally founded in 1875, this New Zealand owned and operated company has three branches in Manawatu, Christchurch and Taupo, and holds a reputation for delivering on large, challenging projects throughout New Zealand.

**Please note, this position is based in Palmerston North**

**About the role**:
**Some of your responsibilities**:

- Assist the General Manager with the management of performance management and monitoring of all operations as well as oversee training and continuous professional development requirements for staff
- Provide assistance to the estimation team to prepare and submit timely, accurate, cost-effective tenders and quotations in accordance with customer requirements
- Liaise closely with the commercial department to constantly assess anticipated revenues from established and new clients with a view to facilitating revenue projections, manning-scale and materials requirements whilst maintaining the span-of-control in operations.
- Manage key customer relations through proactive communication
- Support the company’s ongoing certification to ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard
- Promote and enforce a safe and healthy work environment for all company staff and visitors

**About you**:

- Demonstrated evidence of working in similar role to deliver operations initiatives and the ability in running a successful operation
- Understanding of the building, construction and fabrication industry is highly regarded
- Excellent time management and organisational skills who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communicator (written and verbal) with clients and industry stakeholders
- Sensational client/customer service, with the ability to manage and develop strong relationships
