Senior Recordkeeping Regulator -Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry | One-year fixed term full time position
We are looking for a Senior Recordkeeping Regulator to help us effectively contribute to the crown's response to recordkeeping lessons learned from the Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry
Lessons for recordkeeping derived from the Royal Commission will provide potential improvements that will benefit those in the system in the future.
The Senior Recordkeeping Regulator will be responsible for identifying government agencies that contract care services to Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) and working with those agencies to help them ensure those services are managing compliance with the Public Records Act 2005. In addition the Senior Recordkeeping Regulator will report on:

- the extent of non-compliance with all categories of the PRA that surfaced through the Inquiry.
- what caused the barriers and delays experienced by the Royal Commission when accessing and retrieving information from public offices involved in the Inquiry.
- recommended interventions with NGOs.

Are you knowledgeable, thoughtful, good at analysis and writing? Do you have some awareness of the issues around records of abuse in care, and understand the policy and regulatory landscape?
If you want a job where the work you do matters to New Zealand, we'd love to hear from you. Contact us if you would like to know more information.
