Senior Asset Planner National Lead

We have an exciting opportunity for a collaborative people-leader to provide national co-ordination and support to the Asset Planner network.
- You would remove road blocks and provide advice, direction and guidance to empower Asset Planners to support our approach to Leader Led Work Scheduling and ensure our Enterprise Asset Management data is a consistent source of the truth.
- You would identify innovative solutions and work with the wider Asset Management team to address gaps and provide asset management advice.
- Full time, permanent role with flexible ways of working (this is a national role, but preferred locations would be Whangarei, Auckland, Palmerston North or Wellington).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner - National Lead to join our Asset Management team. You will significantly contribute to the team's vision of providing an efficient and integrated asset management system across the Department's visitor, heritage and biodiversity assets. This is an ideal role for a driven individual who can identify and act on opportunities for improvement in the Department's current asset management practices and understanding.
As the Senior Asset Planner - National Lead you will be responsible for:
- Providing asset management advice to management and the national Asset/Maintenance Planner network
- Ensuring national consistency across the Asset/Maintenance Planner network in work management activities.
- Identifying Asset/Maintenance Planner training needs, providing coaching and mentoring to address requirements and engaging other teams within the organisation where support is required.
- Working with the Asset Management team to improve Departmental asset management practice

**To be successful in this position**:
- You will be experienced and knowledgeable in all aspects of asset management, with a focus on the systems used for work planning and scheduling. Experience in the use of SAP/S4 Hana, Fiori, Blueworx, ARIS, Promapp is highly regarded.
- You will have experience of defining asset maintenance and inspection requirements alongside monitoring and improving the effectiveness of their delivery.
- You will be highly skilled in the use of SAP systems to manage assets, plan maintenance, schedule and deliver work.
- You will be an excellent coach and leader able to confidently solve problems and assist team members
- You will be proficient in carrying out quality assurance (QA) assessments, focused on providing confidence that quality outcomes are being achieved.
- You will be a highly organised analytical thinker with exceptional attention to detail
- You will be confident building relationships within your internal team and across all Departmental groups
- You will be an exceptional communicator who is highly skilled across both written and verbal contexts.
- You will be a team player who enjoys working in a collaborative manner with a range of people across different initiatives.
- A good understanding of Māoritanga and Te Tiriti is essential in this role.
