**Liability Claims Specialist**

**YOUR ROLE**
Reporting to the Lead Regional Liability Claims, you'll be responsible for case managing a range of liability claims.
Your previous claims handling experience will be essential for your success in this role as you will be considering policy response and initiating and progressing liability claims settlements within delegated authority. You'll be working closely with internal stakeholders such as our liability underwriters and business development managersm, also working closely with external service providers such as loss adjusters and expert advisors.
Our liability claims team is based throughout New Zealand and is collegial, supportive and knowledgeable. The claims handling work is varied and challenging and will require you to draw on your existing knowledge of liability principles. Continuing knowledge development is a focus of our team which ensures that our team builds on their liability expertise. Training on key liability principles will be provided on commencement of the role and on-going day-to-day support will be provided by the team.
This is a permanent full-tim postion based in New Zealand, we are open to applicants from any major city in New Zealand.
**ABOUT YOU**
As this role will require you to communicate difficult liability concepts to a variety of stakeholders, you'll be a confident communicator (both verbally and written). You'll also be a strong decision maker. You'll be able to work closely with brokers and our insureds to maintain relationships and ensure the claims process is handled to high levels of satisfaction with an emphasis on professionalism and excellence. Experience in liability claims or in handling claims involving issues of legal liability is preferred but not essential.
