**About the opportunity**

Fonterra is embarking upon a programme to deliver a simplified and standardised set of business processes to support the Long-Term Aspirations of the Co-operative. To enable this, the Core System of Record (CSoR) will be replaced with a set of simplified and standardised business processes, based upon the next generation of SAP’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, S/4 HANA. The CSoR Programme will cover processes operated within the SAP system, covering Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Sales Order Fulfilment. The programme will be of significant size and scale for the co-op.

This role, **S/4 Master Data Governance Lead**, will report to the Head of Data, CSoR and will be accountable for the design and implementation of the SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solution required to maintain and manage all master data for the CSoR S/4 HANA solution to support and operate the Ingredients business.

**Key responsibilities include**:
**Architecture and Data & AI Roadmap**:

- Provide a strategic vision and design for the MDG solution architecture.
- Ensure alignment with the Data & AI Roadmap and leverage Enterprise MDM solution.

**Functional Expertise and Design Principles**:

- Provide functional expertise on best practices for SAP MDG.
- Design various data domains including Material, Business Partner, and Finance.

**Configuration & Build and Testing**:

- Own configuration & build of the SAP MDG solution.
- Ensure thorough testing, including regression testing against legacy MDG solutions.

**Business Stakeholder Management and Business Process Knowledge**:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to consider full business context and impacts.
- Understand master data usage across multiple business process areas.

**Working with Partners and Master Data Management**:

- Collaborate closely with partners to deliver overall MDG objectives.
- Determine Master Data Management approach for the CSoR solution.

**Operating Model and Master Data Design Documentation**:

- Develop appropriate MDM Operating Model alongside Enterprise MDM.
- Develop clear documentation for the MDG solution design.

**Interim States and Data Transformation**:

- Consider master data journey during interim states and minimize dual data entry.
- Map end-to-end master data transformation journey.

**Service Introduction and Data Validation**:

- Ensure full handover to support of the MDG solution.
- Support data validation post-load of master data.

**Data Tooling and Change Management**:

- Identify, implement, and optimize tools to support Master Data Management.
- Define to-be Master Data Management processes and procedures.

**Champion for Change and Leadership**:

- Advocate program objectives with business leaders and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership across all areas and workstreams.

**Qualities that will help you succeed**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- SAP Certified in appropriate areas to support Data
- Planning skills, using recognised project management tools such as MS Project
- Deep expertise in SAP MDG including hands-on implementation skills
- Enterprise & Data architecture skills and capabilities
- Agile Mindset and drive to meet all programme objectives
- Innovation mindset to leverage emerging technologies to achieve programme objectives
- Business acumen and ability to build trusted relationships with business and IT stakeholders
- Able to demonstrate implementation of standard approaches in large scale SAP S/4 HANA programmes using MDG
- Deep knowledge of S/4 Hana data structures, objects and attributes, with experience of implementing standard solutions
- “Design to Operate” end to end thinking.
