**Āu Mahi | What You Will Do**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer to coordinate and deliver courses in _Foundations in Psychological Science_ and _Sensation and Perception_.
- Foundations in Psychological Science_ (PSYC107) is a core component of UC Psychology's innovative new Bachelor of Psychological Science program, and focuses on foundational content related to psychological research methods and statistics. _Sensation and Perception _(PSYC209) explores how humans and other animals detect environmental stimuli and how the brain processes this information to construct an understanding of the world. The course coordinator will develop and deliver both courses, one in each teaching semester. PSYC107 will be offered in on-campus and distance modes, and PSYC209 will be offered only in distance mode in 2025.

- Demonstrate an understanding of bicultural and multicultural issues in Aotearoa New Zealand society, including a commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi | The Treaty of Waitangi, and display a willingness to engage professionally with equity and diversity.
- Evidence of capacity to develop a strong research programme.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, including students, faculty and other stakeholders.

This role sits within the Academic Staff, Associated Staff and Academic Support Staff Collective Agreement and the following salary scale applies: Lecturer $89,645 - $108,144 p.a.
