**About this role|** **Kō tēnei tūranga mahi**

We're looking for an exceptional, organised, multi-tasker to join our dedicated Governance team that provides specialist support services to our elected representatives and Council staff for a range of governance related activities and projects. No day looks the same.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing sound advice to elected members
- Preparing governance level agendas
- Taking formal minutes for Council and committee meetings
- Supporting technology in Council and committee meetings
- Supporting Senior Managers and staff to provide great reports

**About you | Ko ngā pūmanawa ōu**

With great critical thinking skills, you’ll have specialist knowledge of and experience in interpreting legislation, preferably the Local Government Act and the Local Government Official Information and Meeting Act.

You’ll be a strong collaborator; you’ll enjoy the challenge of working the frontline in a fast-paced environment, acting as a trusted adviser to provide sound, confident guidance during times where circumstances can change a move rapidly.

You will bring to the role:

- High level administrative experience in a governance or government background
- High level written and oral communication skills
- Event coordination experience
- Strong personal prioritisation and time management skills
- A strong customer focus
