He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Eating Disorder Clinician to join our Adult Community Mental Health and Addiction Services in Tauranga.
In this role you will bring teamwork and initiative to be part of a team committed to providing evidence-based treatment to adults experiencing an eating disorder, supported by monthly FBT supervision and alternating fortnightly case consultation with our New Zealand Eating Disorder Clinic (NZEDC, Auckland) supervisors. You will also join other eating disorder specialists who pride themselves in supporting their peers.
This role works with adults (18 years +), their families/whānau and the community to provide an effective community-based service.
The role requires competence in the use of risk assessment in the area of metabolic monitoring, working with distressed families and the ability to provide coordination of the eating disorder work within mental health and addictions services. The role also supports staff providing assessment and treatment for adults with an eating disorder.
You will be actively supported in further development of skills and access to evidence-based training that adheres to the principles of treatment.
This is a permanent full-time position.
