**About the role**

Vector Technology Solutions (VTS) began creating real-world solutions for Vector to enable a new energy future. We’ve since turned these into market-ready solutions from which the wider energy industry can benefit.

Use your software engineering expertise to directly address climate change, with a global focus.

As Head of Engineering, you’ll set the vision and strategy for software development at VTS, in alignment with the overall company strategy.

You will lead and manage the engineering team, including hiring, mentoring, and providing professional development opportunities, and will ensure that we have the people, capability and training to deliver on our software product vision and that the team is motivated, productive, and working collaboratively.

You will identify and introduce new technologies and processes to keep VTS competitive, and will work closely with Product, Technology, Delivery, Technology Strategy, and Go To Market to ensure that our product development aligns with market needs and business goals.

**Who are we looking for?**
- You’ll have extensive software engineering experience, including with cloud and cloud native technology, in particular AWS
- You’ll have a track record of managing large teams of developers and engineering managers, and attracting and retaining talent
- You have an aptitude for long-term planning that aligns with the company’s strategy and objectives, and consistently implement plans over long periods
- You take a sophisticated and skilled approach to influencing senior stakeholders, with strong strategic and analytical skills
- You manage risk effectively, evaluating options and providing sound practical solutions and technology advice.
