Trust Framework Authority - new function, new opportunities
A new function within the Digital Public Service Branch, the Digital Identity Services Trust Framework has been established to put ownership and control of digital identity information firmly in the hands of individuals, enabling easy sharing of identity information and reducing privacy and security breaches. The work of the Trust Framework is ground-breaking and will influence the digital landscape for both public and private sector organisations; helping to identify solutions that will support New Zealanders to provide proof of who they are online in an easy, fast and accessible way.

About the role
The Principal Advisor Digital Identity provides intellectual leadership for digital identity strategy and practice within DPS. They lead high-level complex projects and the development of digital identity conceptual frameworks to support the work of the TFA and build digital identity capability across the Branch.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Represent the Group, Branch, Department and the Minister at critical high level and potentially sensitive meetings.
- Maintain a strategic overview of issues that may impact on work programme and the work of the TFA.
- Develop strategies and approaches to assist with complex problem solving.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the providers regulated by the TFA, and their respective challenges.

About you
As Principal Advisor you will put your expert conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills into practice as part of a team focused on building digital identity capability.

**To be successful in the role you will have**:

- Knowledge of digital identity frameworks and concepts being developed and/or applied within NZ and internationally.
- Led the development of the conceptual or principles base for digital identity policy and/or legislative reviews.
- Led complex projects using project management disciplines.
- Experience monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of operations, policies and legislation.
