**Job Description**:
Who are we looking for?

Stevenson is looking for an experienced Planner or Senior Planner to join our team in Auckland, Waikato, or the Bay of Plenty region. Ideally you will have:
- Have around 5-10 years’ experience in consenting;- Have a qualification in Resource Management Planning or Environmental Management;- Have excellent problem solving & decision-making skills;- Be a logical and clear thinker;- Be able to build meaningful relationships ;- Be articulate, accurate, and have strong communication skills for a diverse range of audiences.

About the role

The purpose of the role is to assist the Consents Manager to ensure all of the Stevenson quarries and concrete plants are operating with the appropriate consents.

This could include big projects - expanding a quarry, consenting a solar farm, groundwater consents, consenting a new concrete plant.

Or it could include smaller projects - looking into whether a diesel tank needs consent, preparing a replacement air discharge consent for an existing site, expanding opening hours of a concrete plant.

This is just a taste of the wide variety of projects that crop up. You will never get bored with the interesting projects underway across the business. Underpinning this is a company culture which seeks to protect the environment, make sustainable improvements and promote staff ownership and empowerment.

Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Providing clear and concise consenting advice to the wider Stevenson team;- Ensuring that all new consents are embedded into the business by undertaking a handover process with operational staff;- Providing advice to operational staff to ensure consents are operating within the current consent conditions;- Undertaking iwi engagement as and when is necessary;- Liaising with local community as required;- Keeping a broad overview of all new policy and legislative changes which may impact the business.

Stevenson have sites across the Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions. Ideally this role will be Auckland based, but is the potential to be Waikato or Bay of Plenty based. Some travel to sites will be required.

Stevenson will provide you with a competitive salary relative to the industry. We anticipate the role to be 40 hours a week Monday - Friday, but the nature of this role can accommodate a level of flexibility in work location and hours, provided it works for the business and stakeholders.
