As the Head of Contracts Relationship Management in our Defence Digital Portfolio, you will be responsible for the strategic aspects of contract governance, supplier performance management and reporting, contract administration and contract reviews for contracts held by the Defence Digital Group.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity. You will have the chance to guide and develop a team of contracts relationship management specialists. These specialists manage supplier performance and cultivate long-term relationships with suppliers. Your work will support the delivery of ICT outcomes for the New Zealand Defence Force.

To be considered for the Head of Contracts Relationship Management position, the following skills and experiences are necessary:

- Extensive experience of 10 years or more in contracts relationship management, including leading a team in this area of specialization.
- A good understanding of ICT, technology and digital products and services.
- A good understanding of commercial governance, decision authorities and experience in assuring adoption.
- Highly developed organizational skills, able to manage a busy and diverse workload, and deliver high-quality outcomes in tight timeframes.
- Highly developed analytical and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to critically analyse information and draw conclusions, as well as problem structuring and resolution skills.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills for executive-level audience.
- Experience leading teams that operate in a highly complex environment with global reach.
- Strong leadership and motivation skills, able to lead and motivate a team towards achieving goals, and understanding different leadership styles and their influence.
- Strong communication and stakeholder influencing skills, able to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, business owners, external suppliers, and other internal stakeholders.
- Understanding of All-of-Government requirements and working within the machinery of government.
- Excellent relationship management skills, able to establish, build, and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization and with key stakeholders.

This role is based in Wellington CBD. Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, there is the option of flexible working arrangements that suit the needs of the role.
