Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role
The Team Leader - Project Controls is responsible for leading the team which ensures that the Urban Development and Delivery (UDD) projects are set up in line with the Strategic Investment Management Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and in accordance with accepted project control principles.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
- Deliver on the Leadership Expectations for this role to lead and build a high performing and collaborative team
- Manage the day to day workload of the Advisor - Project Controls, including the responsibility for day to day allocation of duties, ensuring that support and assistance requested by the Manager - Project Controls and Scheduling is undertaken.
- In conjunction with the Manager - Project Controls and Scheduling, manage the workflow requirements of the team and support these requirements by developing and maintaining a system for the allocation and tracking of workflow across the Project Teams
- Provide advice and guidance on Investment Management Tools and Template e.g. Business Case Template, Change Request Forms
- Accountable for ensuring all UDD projects have project controls processes and systems in place.
- Support the Project Teams to set up processes and procedures in accordance with Kāinga Ora project controls principles
- Support and Guide the Project Teams with ensuring stage funding memos are completed and approved prior to each stage commencing on a project.
- Support the Project Teams with Project Controls, setting up their register and commence monthly PCG reporting
- Accountable for the Project Controls Register for UDD projects
- Provide regular Project Controls report as required to Project Controls Group (PCG) and Project Governance Board (PGB)
- Conduct internal audits to ensure Project teams are following Kāinga Ora Project Controls procedures. Identify project documentation and process gaps, eye for continuous improvement
- Document and version control - accountable for ensuring documentation is in place and up to date for Project parameters documents such as Business Case, Stage Funding Drawdowns, Project Controls Register and Change Request Form
- Establish and maintain effective relationships within Kāinga Ora and with internal peers
- Ensure that advice, documentation, research or communication from the team is high quality, accurate, timely and consistent with legislative requirements
- Ensure any special projects meet quality standards and deadline requirement
