Our Food Services team at Hillmorton Hospital is looking for a
passionate Food Supervisor on a part-time basis.
Our team contributes to the safe provision of a quality and
efficient food service that meets the nutritional requirements of individuals
during their clinical treatment. The Te Whatu Ora, Waitaha Food Service is
owned and operated in house.

**Role**: Where you fit in
An exciting opportunity has now come available allowing the
development of the Hillmorton Hospital patient food services.
Reporting to the Food
responsible for the day to day management of our food services, be passionate
about food and ensure that we are providing safe, high quality services that
promote our healthy eating mind-set.
As an experienced supervisor, you will ideally possess strong
communication and interpersonal skills, be able to develop and manage a small
team, form close working relationships with key hospital services as well as
external suppliers.
You will thrive in this fast paced, ever changing environment
while working towards the main goal of improving the health and wellbeing of
the people of the Canterbury region.
This role is a 0.75FTE position working 30 hours a week based at
Hillmorton Hospital. The days/hours are typically Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
and Friday (approx. 10.15am to 6.45pm) however these days may vary so
be further discussed at the interview stage.

**Essentials**:

- Experience in food service

supervision and customer service.
- Knowledge of human resource
processes and staff management.
- Able to demonstrate ability to

**work under pressure.Desirable**:

- NZQA recognised Food Safety

Qualification
- Previous experience in a
healthcare environment
- Ability to demonstrate
understanding of budget and food costs
- Intermediate computer system knowledge and proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel,
Word and Outlook).
