Café Assistant

**Company Description** Our Summerset Wigram Village is looking for an excellent Café Assistant to join the team**

Summerset is the second largest retirement village operator in New Zealand. We're passionate about providing quality service to our clients and we are growing quickly, with 39+ villages from Whangarei down to Dunedin. We are proud of our dynamic work environment and an equally diverse workforce.

Our Café Assistant is in many ways the face of our business and as such you need to be able to relate to a wide range of people, especially the elderly and their families. This is a permanent, part-time role.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting the Café Supervisor with daily operation of the on-site café
- Providing quality customer service to café patrons
- Demonstrating compliance to all regulatory and hygiene requirements
- Assisting the coordination and catering of village residents’ functions

**Qualifications**
You will be an energetic and friendly person with a positive can-do attitude and good communication skills. We value your customer service ethic as much as the technical skills you bring to the team - our culture is what sets us apart To be successful you will bring:

- Top class customer service to ensure a great café experience to our residents and their guests
- The ability to provide high quality and timely support for the Chef
- Prior experience with making great coffee, food preparation and presentation is preferable
- The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
