The Land and Water Service Group is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in our Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland office to support on a variety of land infrastructure-related projects as part of a wider national team, bringing your engineering expertise to our projects.

About the role:
In this permanent, full-time (40 hours per week) position, you will join our Land Infrastructure team in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland where you will play an integral part in a national team of highly skilled specialists that
_bring ideas to life_ for our clients. With a focus on growing our business and improving the sustainability and social outcomes of our projects, we are actively recruiting for those passionate about working collaboratively and building on technical knowledge within this discipline.

- Work on the design for a variety of projects across streetscapes, aviation, transport and more-
- Turn analyses and preliminary design ideas into developed designs suitable for tender and constructions- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders using a range of methods including written analyses and reports- Bring your client-centric focus to deliver outstanding client service, stakeholder engagement, and develop new business using your existing industry networks

As a Senior Engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop deep professional relationships with our clients as we strive to provide exceptional service and negotiate repeat work for our chosen clients. You will interact and collaborate with our multidisciplinary teams including our ground engineering, consent planning, and civil structures teams as we work with our clients to understand their objectives & vision and work to achieve their goals and create new communities.

The salary range for this role is between $95,000 and $130,000 NZD depending on your skills and experience. If this range is not quite right for you, please reach out to Nik Harris

What can you bring to the team?- A relevant tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering- At least 8 years of relevant design experience within the New Zealand Civil industry on projects across roads, carparks, earthworks, drainage, utility services designs, and pavement design- Strong knowledge of design software such as Civil 3D and 12D, and in-depth understanding of NZ design standards- Experience with NZS3910 for Contract Management- Demonstrated experience liaising with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors- Experience with general Contract administration- An established professional network across the region- You will either hold, or be working towards, Chartered status with Engineering New Zealand
