Senior role part of the SLT - based in Te Rapa, Hamilton
- Key purpose is providing financial leadership to support strategic direction
- Multi-site manufacturing business, requires flexible approach and adaptability

**About the opportunity**
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership to support the strategic direction of the business, working with the CEO, Board of Directors and the SLT, to translate the strategic plans into financial modelling and forecasts to inform decision making across the business.

As a high performing leader with an analytical mind, you will thrive under pressure and can demonstrate a high level of governance and technical competency.

**What will you be doing?**
Involvement in the management and financial accounting will mean greater variety, more challenge and excellent scope to enhance your career, while leading a team.
- **Financial planning and analysis - **ownership of financial forecast, analysis of financial results, accurate costings and reporting on health of the financials.
- **Proactive controlling **- improvement of processes, controls and efficiency gains - led by the controllers/accountants.
- **Financial Strategy **- working with the CEO and SLT to understand the strategic focus and translating into financial impact on projected profits, capital requirements, cash flow etc. Holding a long term strategic plan.
- **Finance Transformation **- Looking and implementing advancements in financial reporting requirements and assessing applicability for the business.
- **Leadership**:

- lead a team of 12, developing and enhancing their accounting abilities.

**What will you bring?**
- **A Bachelors-level degree**- CA or equivalent qualification,
- **Experience - **minimum of 7 years in similar role with management responsibilities, running a finance function preferably across multiple sites,
- **Strategy -** Proven strategic thinking in working with CEO and BoD to develop and deliver financial imperatives,
- **Leadership - **effective leadership and management skills,
- **Knowledge - **advanced in accounting including systems, methodologies, techniques and technology.
