Sulco is one of New Zealand’s leading automotive equipment suppliers for over 50 years with a strong reputation for importing, distributing and supporting some of the world’s leading brands of automotive equipment to many of the best workshops in the automotive repair industry. Sulco is a part of the GPC Asia Pacific group which includes other leading NZ companies such as Repco and NAPA.

**The Role**

As a Sulco Field Service Technician, you will be providing hands on diagnostic capability and breakdown support plus periodic maintenance for our range of world leading brands from tyre balancers and aligners through to heavy truck brake testing equipment and vehicle lifts. Full factory training will be provided on product support with ongoing regular professional development, Sulco will supply all tools free to a trade quality standard from leading tool brands including Milwaukee, Knipex, Wera, Genius and many others or you can bring your own. A modern well fitted out Service vehicle is included. While this role may be a little outside your experience if you have been working on cars or buildings, your skills are transferrable and we would be very keen to talk to you.

**Tasks include**:

- Breakdown support and technical diagnostic trouble shooting
- Repair work including mechanical plus fitting work, low voltage electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic work
- Periodic maintenance (servicing)
- Modern facilities, clean workspaces with all tools provided free
- Travel all over NZ to support our service agent network

**Skills & Experience**
- Trade Certified in either Automotive Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.
- Presentable with good communication and English literacy skills
- Have a can do attitude and willing to learn and improve through experience
- Can use a computer to view service manuals, diagnostic diagrams
- Team player and can work unsupervised
- Drivers licence with a Class 2 or better an advantage, but not essential
- Hourly rate is paid above the average
- Centrally located on Plunket Ave, Manukau
