**Chemistry Lecturer (Fixed-term, 6 months)**

Are you a skilled and passionate Chemistry educator? Seize this exciting opportunity to join the Department of Chemistry at the School of Science, Auckland University of Technology

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Chemistry Lecturer for a fixed-term (6 months) full-time position. In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our newly-revised first-year chemistry curriculum.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for first-year chemistry courses
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student assignments, exams, and projects
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance course materials and teaching methodologies
- Provide academic support and guidance to students, fostering a positive learning environment
- Coordinate laboratory instruction and promote good practice amongst our postgraduate teaching assistants
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our chemistry programs

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- A PhD in Chemistry or a closely related discipline
- Proven experience in teaching chemistry at a tertiary level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to student success and the promotion of inclusive teaching practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team

$78,000 - $92,000 (appointment level and salary commensurate with skills and experience)
