Wellington City, New Zealand New Zealand Government Full time

Make your mark in our critical work to eliminate Family and Sexual Violence
- Newly created strategic role, direct report to CEO
- Lead strategic relationships and ensure we create meaningful impact for Māori

If you are committed to making real change for Aotearoa, Te Puna Aonui might be the place for you.
Mā mua ka kite a muri, mā muri ka ora a mua.
Those who lead give sight to those who follow, those who follow give life to those who lead.

Mō mātou | About Us
Te Puna Aonui is a small unit, with a big role. Established as an Interdepartmental Executive Board (IEB) our mandate is to ensure there is clear, joint accountability across government for work relating to the elimination of family violence and sexual violence. As the centre of expertise that stewards the Family Violence and Sexual Violence System and Cross-Agency Strategy, Te Aorerekura, we work in partnership with the communities we serve and always hold survivors, family and whanau at the centre of everything we do.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
Cultural capability, strategic relationships and partnerships are crucial to the role Te Puna Aonui plays and ensuring that we deliver meaningfully for Māori. As our Kaihautū, you will be dedicated to strengthening these linkages, building capability as well as positive, enduring relationships with iwi and other Māori organisations.
A key advisor to the Chief Executive and a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), you and your team will support strategic relationships with Māori across the Family Violence and Sexual Violence System. You will also lead our work to lift our people's cultural capability, skills and knowledge so that a Te Ao Māori lens is an integral part of how we work.
This is a key role that will, along with the CEO and ELT, navigate a complex system and ensure Te Puna Aonui is connected, deliberate and effective in its work across the Family Violence and Sexual Violence system.
Ko wai koe | About you
You have held leadership roles in complex organisations where you have applied your extensive knowledge of Te Tiriti, Te Ao Māori and Tikanga to make real change. You are a strategic thinker, networker, an enabler of strategic level impact and bring a strong focus on delivery and continuous improvement. As a proven and inspiring people leader and colleague, you are relationship focussed, pragmatic and deeply committed to our kaupapa and the people we serve.
