**Nga Manu Atarau**

We are excited to recruit for this unique specialist position within the Nga Manu Atarau directorate at Te Papa. This position is one of two Pou Tikanga roles that complimentary work together to maintain tikanga Maori for and within Te Papa by:

- providing and coordinating tikanga leadership and advice to support the Te Papa Board, Kaihautu, Tumu Whakarae, and Director Nga Manu Atarau
- overseeing and providing tikanga leadership of Rongomaraeroa as a functioning marae of the nation
- overseeing and providing leadership and support for delivery of tikanga across Te Papa
- establishing and managing a Tikanga Advisory Group representative of Mana Whenua, Iwi-in-Residence and critical Te Papa tikanga capability
- overseeing and providing tikanga support and advice to the organisation as determined and agreed by the Kaihautu and Director Nga Manu Atarau
- Providing support to organisational iwi relationship activities as agreed by the Kaihautu, Director Nga Manu Atarau and Pou Awhi a-Iwi
