We're looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our friendly and supportive team. The role will include both individual and group OT interventions and be involved with the multi-disciplinary team on diagnostic assessments.

Waikato District is one of New Zealand's largest public hospitals, covering a large urban and rural community. Waikato District provides extensive allied health services. Our occupational therapy team boasts many specialty areas, one of which is OTs working in Child Development Centre, working with children, aged from birth to 16 years old and with their families.

As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes;

Ideally at least 18 months post qualification experience, however would consider new graduate OT if suitable

Sound clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practice

Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting

Pro-active and can-do approach with the ability to be flexible and work autonomously as well as in a team
