Job Title: Hotel Manager Hotel: ROKI Collection Queenstown Restaurants: The Terrace & The Dining Room Location: 2 Brunswick St, Queenstown Reports To: General Manager Minimum guaranteed hours: 40 per week Salary: $105k to $120k, depending on qualifications and experience________________________________________Position Overview: Assists the General Manager with the oversight of all aspects of Hotel Management in accordance with Company mission statement, including financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development within established quality standards.
Responsible for the hiring, training and discipline of all hotel staff.
Manages the hotel in the absence of the General Manager.________________________________________Key Responsibilities: The Hotel Manager oversees overall day-to-day hotel operations.
Participates in the development of short-term and long-term financial and operational plans for the hotel which support the overall objectives of the Company.
The primary duties of the Hotel Manager are to ensure guest satisfaction and overall efficiency of front office operations, to train staff as outlined in the Front Office Training Procedures and ensure staff is prepared to provide excellence to our guests and visitors at all times.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to ROKI Collection's Core Values and Mission Statement.
Lead by example.
Implement and maintain Front Office department minimum standards.
Responsible for the hiring, training, supervision and performance management of property maintenance, security and housekeeping staff.
Prepare work schedule for staff.
Train, monitor and manage front office staff, resolve any guest issues and perform tasks that require your discretion and authority.
Train staff to use the appropriate phrases and greetings when interacting with guests.
Make reasonable and professional decisions.
Assist and guide the front office staff through their daily duties and responsibilities.
Ensure guest needs are responded to in a timely and efficient manner.
Schedule staff adequately in order to maintain excellent service to guests at all times.
Ensure staff evaluations are completed in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain a positive work environment.
Manage Front Office operations within set budget and payroll guidelines.
Complete applicable documentation for the management of the hotel.
Work closely with the hotel's management team and communicate effectively.
Use proper telephone and reservation etiquette including describing the hotel, proper rate quotation and capturing reservations.
Conduct self in a friendly and attentive manner during all guest encounters.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Responsible for working in a safe and conscientious manner.
Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Maintain guest confidentiality at all times.
Plan and manage all conferences and hotel functions.
Minimum qualifications/experience: A Diploma or higher-level qualification, or at least 3 years of relevant experience.________________________________________What We Offer: Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
