Determine appropriate responses in relation to compliance breaches and regulatory issues in consultation with relevant Line 1 stakeholders.
Provide BAU compliance advice and guidance to, and review of, Line 1 product, marketing and operations teams to ensure processes and controls achieve desired compliance outcomes.
Ensure appropriate compliance training is in place to support responsible lending outcomes and regulatory change.
About you:
Extensive hands-on experience and practical knowledge of CCCFA, Fair Trading Act, Privacy and other regulatory requirements relevant to a New Zealand financial services entity are a must.
Strong compliance and risk management capabilities are essential.
Legal qualifications and experience strongly desired.
A highly collaborative approach to problem solving is essential.
Experience and practical knowledge of credit card and personal loan products, and operational environments are preferred.
Strong commercial and pragmatic acumen and an ability to influence and motivate others, including senior management, essential.
Experience in regulatory relationship management and internal stakeholder engagement is desirable; established external relationships with New Zealand government agencies and financial services industry bodies desirable.
Strongly values led and with high integrity are a must.
Experience leading small teams desirable - you will lead a team of 1.
Sometimes the best candidates don’t have 100% of what is listed above, but if you have most and are confident, you’d be a good fit, we’d love to hear from you

We always support a safe, healthy, engaging, and productive working environment for all employees and workers, whether that be in your home and office, or a combination of both.
We're Latitude, partners in money.
