About the role The purpose of this role is to lead the first line risk management capability for regulatory and prudential compliance in People and Strategy division at TSB.
This role works closely with the General Manager – People and Strategy (GM P&S), Heads Of and the Line 2 Risk function, to ensure TSB's risks are understood and well managed. There is a focus on uplifting risk maturity in spaces such as Conditions of Registration and key policies that can evidence compliance with industry practice and regulatory expectations.
About you Ideally you will have 5+ years' experience in risk, compliance or audit in the financial services industry and/or a regulatory environment. You will be an effective communicator demonstrating proficiency writing formal reports and presenting complex information for executives and Boards.
You will be considered as a subject matter expert on risk identification controls and broader risk management practices across banking standards.
Key responsibilities include: Acts as the operational lead manager across all regulatory and prudential compliance programs owned by the GM P&S.
Operate as an independent first line risk leader.
Leads the establishment and management of P&S risk and compliance obligations registers and any internal control forums held within P&S.
To be successful you will need: Demonstrated risk management experience.
Experience of risk frameworks and/or working with assurance planning activities.
Strong banking or financial services industry acumen and proven track record working in these environments.
A mind for problem solving using a structured, logical approach and critical thinking skills.
A collaborative, pragmatics approach.
