We have strong partnerships with hapū, Te Taoū Marae, te ngahere and the community of Reweti.
Many of our current students would like access to a Māori medium education and we are currently inviting additional enrolments as we plan for the opening of our first bilingual classroom at our kura.
We invite applications for the position of an experienced full time teaching kaiako Māori in our new Y1–8 te reo Māori Level 2 bilingual class.
This role includes the position of deputy principal, with responsibility for the development and sustainability of the Māori curriculum.
We are seeking a respected, dedicated, and experienced individual who possesses: Strong, positive relationships across their community and rohe A deep understanding of local tikanga and te reo Māori Local whakapapa Proven experience in teaching and responsive pedagogies Leadership experience in schools and in communities A visionary approach to designing a sustainable bilingual model that aligns with our the needs The capability to build the capacity of current and future staff.
