About the role Permanent full-time role Monday to Friday 08.00am to 05.00pm Your enthusiasm and dedication will see you: Inspire a culture of compassion and excellence within the Centre, empowering both staff and volunteers to deliver outstanding care and service.
Strengthen connections with the local community, enhancing the Centre’s reputation and building support for animal welfare initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement across operations, creating a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for both animals and visitors.
What we need from you: Proven leadership experience, ideally in animal welfare, nonprofit, or community-focused environments, with a track record of driving change and improving outcomes.
Strong strategic and operational management skills to oversee and enhance daily shelter operations effectively.
Excellent people management abilities, including experience in training, developing, and motivating staff and volunteers.
Financial acumen to manage budgets, optimize resources, and ensure cost-effective operations.
Strong communication and community engagement skills to represent the SPCA and build lasting relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the public.
A commitment to animal welfare standards, ensuring best practices in care, health, and safety are consistently maintained.
