We are a busy fast-food outlet looking for a kitchen hand cum customer service assistant to join our team busy store in Palmerston North. Working hours will be minimum 30 hours per week depending on roster or seasonal requirement.  Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with daily kitchen operations and food preparation tasks Wash, chop, and prepare vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, onions, and mushrooms Cut, slice, and grill meats like chicken, ham and beef Support cooks with meal preparation, plating, and presentation Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment, ensuring proper sanitation Keep workstations organized, clean, and fully stocked during service Properly handle and store food items to minimize waste and ensure freshness. Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate pizza orders Perform additional duties as directed by chefs or management Work efficiently and cooperatively with team members in a fast-paced environment assist with other kitchen duties when required Open & Close shop, cash up end of day tills, serve customers and advise on usage of the products Ensure timely delivery of pizzas. Check inwards goods, process inwards goods within 24 hours. Ensure proper merchandising and organize display of products, relieve the Store Manager as required, assist to organise stock take. Ensure all returns are processed in a timely manner Ensure all promotion products are in store in time for the promotion to start, assist in setting up promotions, marketing and advertising material and store specials. Assess appropriate material handling, equipment and manual labour needs to load, unload, move, or store materials. Assist in general business planning and attend management team meetings. Identify opportunities to reuse or recycle materials to minimize consumption of new materials and minimize waste. Essential Requirements:  NZ Register level 1 qualification OR 0-6 months experience in similar field Must hold full clean driver license as late night deliveries are required. Able to work long and rotating rosters including weekends and late night shifts Monday to Sunday between 9:00am to 1:00am Training will be provided We need people who are committed and turn up to work on time unless they have a reasonable excuse.
