Job Description:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
 Preparing and positioning the excavator for operation, ensuring all systems arefunctional and the machine is correctly set up for the task at hand.
Selecting, fitting, and removing attachments such as buckets, winches, loading scoops, shovel blades, and rock-breaking hammers, according to the specific requirements of the job.
Operating the excavator controls to execute tasks such as excavating, breaking,drilling, leveling, compacting, gouging out, moving, loading, and spreading earth,rock, rubble, soil, and other materials.
Monitoring the operation of the excavator and adjusting controls to regulate pressure,speed, and flow of operation, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the processes andthe safety of other workers.
Raising, lowering, and manipulating excavator attachments using both manual andhydraulic controls to achieve precise movement and placement of materials.
Working from detailed drawings, markers, and verbal instructions to ensure accurateand efficient completion of excavation tasks.
Performing routine servicing, lubricating, cleaning, and refueling of the excavator, aswell as carrying out minor adjustments and repairs to maintain the machinery in optimal working condition.
Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job
NZQF level 4 qualification; OR
At least three years of working experience in relevant industry
Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Attention to detail and precision.
Good communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.
