Cafe/Restaurant, is a vibrant and popular cafe dedicated to providing exceptional service andcreating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.
We are currently seeking a dynamicand experienced Cafe Manager to join our team and contribute to the continued success ofour establishment.
Our cafe, situated in Masterton, operates every day, including publicholidays, from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, and weekend work is an essential part of this role.
Job Description: As a Cafe manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of thecafe.
Your responsibilities will include: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café to ensure smooth and efficient service. Collaborate with the Chef or Cook to plan and update menus. Recruit, supervise, train, and motivate both front-of-house and kitchen staff. Prepare staff rosters and monitor attendance to ensure adequate coverage at alltimes. Monitor stock levels, place orders, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Manage daily cash flow, operate POS systems, and handle banking procedures. Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and licensing regulations. Oversee customer service standards and resolve any customer issues promptly andprofessionally. Monitor sales performance, control costs, and assist with budgeting and profitability. Coordinate marketing activities, seasonal promotions, and community events toenhance business growth
Qualifications: At least 6 months of experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting (in New Zealand or overseas). Diploma Level Qualification or higher Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices. Must need Barista skills will be an advantage and knowledge of food.
