Role Summary: The Solution Architect is responsible for designing and implementing solutions within a platform that allows for robust configuration options without the need for extensive coding.
This role requires a deep understanding of the platform's capabilities and the ability to leverage its configuration tools to meet business requirements effectively.
Key Responsibilities: Design and configure solutions using the platform's point-and-click configuration tools to meet business process and application requirements.
Lead the assessment of business requirements, collection and identification of technical specifications, and the subsequent development of technology solutions.
Interface with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into configurable software components.
Develop prototypes using configuration tools and demonstrate these to stakeholders to validate solution approach.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the configuration supports the desired business processes.
Provide expertise in the platform's configuration capabilities during the solution design and implementation phases.
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and can be seamlessly integrated with other systems.
Conduct solution testing and troubleshooting, resolving configuration issues as they arise.
Document the configuration details and maintain records of system changes.
Stay current with the latest updates and features of the platform and evaluate their applicability to organizational needs.
Lead and mentor a team of configuration specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure effective solution delivery.
Facilitate team meetings and ensure clear communication of project goals and progress.
Coordinate team efforts to align with project timelines and business objectives.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Offer career guidance and support professional development for direct reports, helping them achieve their career goals.
Requirements Experience Required: Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Systems Analyst, or similar role with a focus on software configuration.
Hands-on experience with platforms that offer extensive point-and-click configuration capabilities (e.g., Salesforce, Service Now, Microsoft Dynamics).
Experience in configuring and deploying enterprise software solutions without heavy reliance on custom code.
Skills Required: Strong understanding of the principles of configuration management and its best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
Additional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Certifications related to the specific platform(s) of expertise (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Service Now System Administrator).
Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management practices.
Assessment Criteria: Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective solutions using point-and-click configuration tools.
Success in delivering projects that meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
Proficiency in configuring complex systems to achieve desired outcomes without custom coding.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and quickly learn new platforms and their configuration environments.
