The Hired Guns are seeking a Director of Digital, Paid Media for a top digital strategy, data and communications firm with offices in Washington, DC and NYC.
It’s 2019, and this firm is the one to join if you want to build and lead work that will reach and connect with more Americans than ever before.

The principals at this company have run some of the most wildly successful “inside-the-beltway” campaigns on the planet.
Their clients range from highly visible political candidates to advocacy groups and issues-driven campaigns, non-profits, govtech initiatives, and brands that want grass-roots “oomph”.
So you’ll be working with the best in the business.
And these guys want to keep their rocketship set on overdrive.
Enter: you.
In this gig, you will be the in-house evangelist for big-spend media campaigns.
Your mandate is to expand newly landed or existing accounts, month over month and year over year.
It will be your job to walk into a meeting with a client and present a media strategy so bold that the client will stand up and applaud.
You’ll be developing the target approaches, deciding on impact metrics, and ensuring that your team delivers across every lever available to them.
Your strategies and campaigns will be the centerpiece of all engagements, which means that you’ll be front-and-center in client meetings, including pitch meetings, proposal sign-offs, and presenting the all-important results.
Success in your first year looks like this: take an extremely sharp paid media team and keep grooming them up.
Your team will learn a ton from you about the art and craft of paid media, the intersections of earned and owned, and how all of those elements come together to form an overarching campaign.
Additionally, you will scale the operation, weaving together your ideas and experience to build a well oiled machine.

You know the ins and outs of digital advertising, you keep up with trends and changes, and you’re maniacally creative.
Your data-driven approaches for managing campaigns have set you apart from many others in your field.
You have a first-rate digital pedigree, showing a depth of experience that illustrates your strategic mindset, love of team-building, and success in client-facing roles.
For you, developing a strategic plan, pitching it, and getting sign-off from the C-suite at a Fortune 500 company is just another day at the office.
Inside Skinny This role can be based in NYC or DC, with a slight preference for DC.
