Position: Financial Controller Reporting To: General Manager – Growth and Strategy Direct Reports: Financial Accountant, Business Analyst, Data Analyst Key Responsibilities: Overseeing of completion of monthly / yearly statutory and management accounts – NZ & AUPreparation of Board reporting (finance)Management of performance, wellbeing and mentoring of Direct Reports Day to day and strategic management of bank relationships (BNZ, NAB, CBA, ANZ)Managing of and completion of annual financial audit and internal controls audits Management of financial forecast budget model and cash flow tracking Overseeing payroll activities and overpayments with minimum monthly review.
Co-ordinate with the GM to identify areas of opportunity & risk to the business Management of BI – accuracy of data and the timely delivery of reporting Management of the stock valuation and inventory tracker Assist GM Collections, as required, in the setting of quarterly and annual targets Tracking of and reporting on ledger performance Management of all tax matters including GST, income tax, PAYE.
Management and oversight of data analysis and insights to the business Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations Proactively look for opportunity to increase revenue working alongside leadership team Develop collection opportunities or efficiencies within the business Engage with vendors and third parties to boost company profile The Ideal Candidate: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
CPA or CA qualification preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in senior finance positions Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
Experience in managing financial audits and internal controls.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
