Director of Finance & Corporate Services Full time Platinum Recruitment have proudly partnered with Techion, in the search for a Director of Finance & Corporate Services (DFCS) based in Dunedin, NZ.

Techion achieves this purpose by disrupting traditional industries which rely on simple microscopes and skilled technicians.
They work alongside large industry partners and research partners to transform microscopic particle intelligence gathering and analysis.
The role: Reporting to the General Manager, the DFCS will sit on the Executive Leadership Team taking ownership of their financial function.
Key duties & responsibilities of the role include: Operating robust financial processes & timely reporting.
Preparation of budgets, forecasting & monthly management accounts.
Leadership of the annual accounts & tax processes.
Provide key support around capital raising/structuring activities.
Provide expertise to support significant commercial business activities.
Management of financial systems & statutory compliance.
The role is a blended position consisting of ‘hands on’ finance & accounting responsibilities along with strategic leadership & project work.
Currently, the role has one direct report, a Finance & Administration Manager.
The role also has the ability to include wider corporate services functions such as Human Resources, procurement & compliance.
About the successful candidate: Techion are seeking a senior finance professional ideally holding Chartered Accountant qualification.
The organisation is growing both nationally & internationally, so an astute commercial skillset would be advantageous.
Demonstrated finance management leadership (staff, systems/processes, planning & analysis) is definitely required to be successful in the role.
Strong technical skills around Business Intelligence Tools, ERP, Excel, and XERO would be advantageous.
