Based in Auckland and reporting to the Trade Sales Manager this full-time permanent position sees you working with a leading brand in a strong market position within primarily the architectural community.
You will use your relationship building skills and commercial acumen to drive growth of the specification of our suite of products.
Day to day you'll put your people & networking skills to the test, liaising with existing & new influential stakeholders within the specification sector to drive, secure, raise awareness and uptake of our solutions to specifiers, developers and industry influencers.
Ideally you will already have a profile with architects and creating meaningful connections is your forte.
Your ability to intuitively understand others' interests and communication styles makes you adept at establishing strong relationships.
You will thrive on the challenge of adapting your approach to connect with a diverse range of customers and have the confidence as well as the drive & ability to quickly assimilate and interpret our products features and benefits for a range of customers.
You will need to be resilient and adaptable and be able to open new doors and have conversations with customers who may not be familiar with our full range of products and solutions that we have to offer.
We are looking for a highly motivated self starter, with energy and a willingness to learn and continually develop your skills and knowledge.
Proficiency within the Microsoft Office suite is a must as is the ability to present in front of an audience.
Your role will see you providing technical support, expert product knowledge and the capability to create and pull together memorable & informative presentations.
You can collaborate and aren't afraid to work closely with other teams on projects.
Skills and Experience

Establish and maintain relationships with architects, builders, developers, designers, and other purchasing influences in the commercial market industry
The ability to communicate at all levels, with a confident and mature approach
Understand architecture, design and the construction process with the ability to read and interpret plans and a strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
Confident, resilient, and flexible with a positive and motivated attitude and clear group presentation skills
Be a tenacious self-starter who can identify opportunities by not only getting a foot in the door, but you’ll also gain a seat at the table, but also a team player
Have excellent sales skills but more importantly, you will be an active listener who works hard to understand the technical needs and design challenges our specification partners face and add value at every interaction
Use your passion for technical details to easily navigate designs and technical documents and be able to credibly communicate with specifiers and deliver creative problem solving
Have a level of technical knowledge and natural curiosity that will help you easily build rapport with people both inside and outside our business
