**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE/ROLE OVERVIEW**
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Support the organization's environmental initiatives by minimizing waste, conserving energy, and following sustainable practices.
- Understand and follow the company's emergency procedures and response plans. Participate in drills and exercises as required.
- Coordinate with internal design teams and external consultants during building consent preparation stage under the guidance and supervision, to ensure the production of high
- quality projects delivered within deadlines.
- Follow the project timeline and arrangements.
- Adhere to the company’s quality control procedures and self-check the drafted drawings.
- Ensures ongoing development of knowledge and skills and contributes to the enhancement of work standards and documentation.
- Liaise with council processors regarding build consent RFI after BC lodgement under the supervision.
- Undertake limited construction coordination tasks under the supervision.
- Works cooperatively with team members, valuing and assisting others in using and sharing their skills and expertise.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and construction manager to ensure adherence to building specifications and industry regulations.
**PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES**
Education: Bachelors Degree in Design or above
Experience: Minium 1 year of working experience in New Zealand Architectural Technician Role
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills, able to stay on tract and meet deadlines, schedule own time and activities effectively, ensures tasks are completed, and demonstrate commitment to tasks and projects.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, completing several tasks simultaneously when required.
- Ability to recognize problems and opportunities, develop and consider alternative solutions, and makes timely decisions.
- Excellent teamwork.
- Self-motivated.
- Able to generates and/or recognize creative solutions.
Knowledge:
- Intermediate computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office Applications
- Proficient with AutoCAD software
- Knowledgeable of Revit
- Good understanding of NZBC, building consent, and resource consent procedures
