About the Role We are a well-established Italian restaurant in Auckland seeking an enthusiastic and experienced chef to join their friendly kitchen team. You’ll help with daily kitchen operations and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, freshly prepared Italian and Mediterranean-style dishes. Key Responsibilities  Operate and organize a designated section of the kitchen.  Collaborate with Head Chef with menu planning, estimating food and labour cost  Maintain quality, consistency, and cost control through recipe adherence.  Train and mentor kitchen staff.  Manage staff rosters and uphold kitchen morale.  Conduct dish quality checks before service.  Ensure food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance.  Maintain and order stock efficiently.  Collaborate with front-of-house staff for smooth service Requirements  Min 3 years of relevant experience or relevant Level 4 qualification  Familiarity with Italian/Mediterranean cuisine.  Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.  Physically fit and reliable.  Positive, team-oriented attitude.  Commitment to safety and cleanliness.
