The Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team with a strong focus on leadership and mentoring.
This role goes beyond producing accurate and competitive estimates – it is about developing and guiding junior estimators, strengthening our estimating capability, and contributing to the long-term growth of our business.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing and reviewing detailed cost estimates for projects of varying scale and complexity.
Leading, coaching, and supporting junior estimators to build their technical and professional capability.
Establishing consistent processes and best practices within the estimating team.
Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates are clear, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.
Supporting continuous improvement in systems, tools, and methodologies for estimation.
About You
We are looking for someone who not only excels in estimation but also has a passion for leadership and people development.
You will bring:
Proven experience as an estimator in the power, utilities, or construction sector.
Strong leadership, mentoring, or team development skills.
Excellent analytical and numerical ability, with attention to detail.
Confidence in communicating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
A proactive, collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
