Effectively and efficiently lead and deliver the quality of our Supported Living services, making a meaningful difference in the lives of disabled people.

About Us

We are a community-based disability support provider that operates across much of the North Island. Our Vision is of an inclusive New Zealand where disabled people are embraced as fully participating citizens, where barriers to inclusion are removed, and where all people are respected and valued for who they are.

We believe that disabled people can and should live the life they choose, on their own terms and within the community of their choice.

Community Connections is an Equal Employment Opportunities employer, and we love diversity in what we do and whom we employ. We are committed to Te Tiriti O Waitangi, the UN Convention for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and the NZ Disability strategy. We encourage people with lived experience of disability, mental health, Māori, Pasifika, people from other backgrounds, and/or from the LGBTQIA+ community to apply.

About the role

The role of the Service Delivery Lead is to ensure optimum outcomes for the people we support by effectively and efficiently managing our Supported Independent Living service through quality assurance, team leadership, coaching, and supervision. This involves collaborating with their team and the relevant General Manager to plan and deliver exemplary services. The Service Delivery Lead also provides practical support, oversight, and coordination to the service delivery teams responsible for providing services to the people we support while assisting them in working towards their personal goals and aspirations. Additionally, you will continually explore new ways to enhance the service and the outcomes for those we support.

What you will bring

We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to respecting the rights of and supporting disabled people. You will be a strong operational leader committed to developing, coaching, and supporting staff to ensure that their skills and knowledge base continue to grow. You will have a strong alignment with our purpose, vision, values, and Mana Wairoa.

To be considered for this position, you will need the following qualifications and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Level 7) e.g. bachelors in management, nursing, social services, psychology, or commensurate experience
  • Relevant work experience, including at least two years experience in the health and disability or social services sector
  • At least one year's experience in leading and managing teams
  • Proven experience working with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to create effective working relationships
  • Ability to pick up new processes and a range of IT systems, including systems such as Google Apps and Microsoft 365
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and to multi-task
  • Proven experience in managing people's performance
  • Willingness to participate in an after hours on-call roster
  • Experience working with diverse cultures
  • Expertise in planning and delivering services that are centred around people who use our services

At Community Connections, we provide a supportive team environment where you can work alongside like-minded individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the community we support. Our organisation is proud to be diverse and inclusive, where every team member is valued and respected.

We value your dedication and hard work, and in return, we offer a range of benefits:

  • Competitive remuneration
  • Five weeks of annual leave
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • The opportunity to join a great organisation and do meaningful work
