As a Tech Product Specialist you will be helping our teams to create secure, robust, and scalable end-to-end experiences for customers, colleagues, and partners, delivered quickly. You will demonstrate technical expertise in analyzing, designing, and implementing products within the Corporate Platform, Technology & Operations (T&O). This involves working closely with Technical Leads and the Architecture Community of Practice (CoP) to define requirements, design, and standards.

Additionally, you will engage with business stakeholders to understand and document their requirements, provide technical expertise, contribute to solution delivery, and support ongoing product maintenance. Embracing Agile methodology and its supporting frameworks, you will deliver quality outcomes and documentation that enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the product ownership framework and collaborate with business teams to document the product vision and support stable, evergreen products.
  • Build strong relationships with key business stakeholders to meet evolving requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to test assumptions cost-effectively and contribute to proposals/business cases for viable improvements.
  • Develop functional specifications that meet stakeholder requirements, adhering to risk, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with external vendors/3rd parties to ensure high-quality services.
  • Ensure technical and configuration design decisions align with architecture principles and evergreen methodology.
  • Deliver products that meet business requirements, working with multiple teams to achieve quality outputs.
  • Execute daily operational activities, such as checks, monitoring, and incident management.
  • Take ownership of work or initiatives, delivering on time and within quality expectations.
  • Produce high-quality documentation and training material for assigned products, using IAG standards and templates.

This is a permanent opportunity for a candidate based anywhere in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) or Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland).

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Specialist or Engineer with SaaS products, ideally in Procurement distribution.
  • Experience delivering and supporting modern digital enterprise applications with complex integrations.
  • Experience in continuous delivery environments, including automation.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Project Management Methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL methodology and production support.
  • Experience with integrations in complex hybrid cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Proven success in delivering quality solutions and continuous improvement in technology organizations.
  • Systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to implement generic, reusable solutions, components, or frameworks, with appropriate documentation and training.
  • Team player willing to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Experience in business and IT relationship management, working in/with matrix structures, and influencing senior business and technology leaders.
