Reporting to the Managing Executive Officer of HQ in Japan and President & CEO of Americas Region. Our client has 80+ years' experience providing customized logistics solutions combining the latest technology and high-quality service. Their global network offers a multi-mode global forwarding suite of services spanning over 700 locations in 47 countries.

The Global Sales Manager - Semiconductor will be responsible for securing and managing new customer business in air, ocean, warehousing/distribution, trucking & 3PL services within the high tech / semiconductor vertical. Will be tasked with achieving revenue targets by securing business with new global customers and selling additional services to current global customers. Responsibility includes developing strong C-Level relationships with target customers and providing expertise in the assigned vertical to share with other members of our client's team.

Background Required:

  1. Significant sales experience within the freight forwarding / logistics sector (7+ yrs)
  2. Multiple existing client relationships within the high tech / semiconductor vertical
  3. Demonstrated track record of sales success
  4. Complex supply chain solutions including transportation, warehousing, distribution & reverse logistics
  5. Knowledge of major trade lanes (Asia-pacific, trans-Atlantic, India)
  6. Strong negotiation skills – ability to negotiate global contracts & processes
  7. Ability to travel within assigned territory 40%
  8. Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  9. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent marketing, business administration or economics
  10. Residence: East Coast, USA

Background Preferred (but not required):

  1. Freight forwarding operations
  2. Advanced Degree – MBA

Other Essential Abilities and Skills:

  1. "Hunter" mentality
  2. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  3. Excellent organizational skills
  4. Ability to understand, develop and maintain multi-cultural relationships
