Do you have an interest in leading a team of Critical Care dietitians?Do you want to work in a fast-paced critical care setting?Have you been looking for a position that offers ongoing professional development and the chance to work in a supportive, friendly team?Te whiwhinga mahi| The OpportunityWe have an Advanced Clinician Critical Care Dietitian opportunity available for an experienced New Zealand Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic, supportive and self-motivated Critical Care team of 4.4FTE dietitians within the Nutrition and Dietetics Service based at Auckland City Hospital.
This role is part of the inpatient Dietitian team and would see you working permanent, part-time (0.6FTE) (24 hours/week) Monday to Friday, with roster weekends.
This role will primarily be based across our critical care units where you will be:Providing advanced clinical practice and implementing evidence-based standards of practiceLeading the development of local pathways, protocols and guidelinesProviding clinical teaching and support to all relevant stakeholders including patients/clients, family whanau, staff and students, and other health professionals.Evaluating service requirements and implementing clinical research and auditsProviding advanced clinical resource both locally and regionallyOptimising patient experience by utilizing your excellent interpersonal communication skillsCollaborating with team members and other work groups to achieve our service objectives.As the ideal person for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practicing CertificateA total of 8 years post-graduate experience including the equivalent of four years full-time experience within the area of specialtyBe a great connector of people and ideasAn understanding of bicultural issues and commitment to the Treaty of WaitangiAbility to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary settingEffective time management, flexibility, prioritisation and organisation skillsDrive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsFor more information about this role please contact Eirean Gamble (Clinical Lead) on ****** Toka Tumai Auckland is one of the leading healthcare providers in New Zealand offering a wide range of tertiary and quaternary clinical services to a large and diverse population.
