About the team

Grid Delivery at Transpower is responsible for ensuring our grid assets continue to deliver electricity to New Zealand. Grid Delivery oversees lines and substation operations and maintenance nationally and collaborates widely across Transpower to ensure we maximise efficiencies from our assets and projects.

More broadly, you will be an integral part of our Ōtara, Auckland office, with over 125 amazing humans from engineers to project managers, control room operators, people leaders, data gurus, and more.

About the opportunity

As the friendly face of our Auckland office and part of the social committee, you will work from our reception desk collaborating in partnership with another Office Administrator to ensure the office and teams' needs are anticipated and actioned seamlessly.

You'll contribute to the overall experience of employees and visitors to our office and be encouraged to share your ideas to make the office environment and office vibe even better

What will you bring?

This is a varied, high visibility role, so you'll be someone happy working in our Ōtara office five days a week from 8.30-4.30pm in a busy operational environment requiring a proactive, flexible approach day-to-day.

Mature-minded, you'll be known for your solution focus and positivity, and exceptional customer service and organisational skills.

You'll love building and maintaining relationships with primary internal and external customers, working through regular and as required office administration tasks, like health and safety inductions.

You'll be tech-savvy, as you'll ultimately become a super user of the office systems, including Microsoft 365, financial, and travel systems, to name just a few.

Your CV and cover letter will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in an administrative/co-ordination/office support or concierge type role
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
  • Exceptional ability to support busy managers and internal and external customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and expectation management skills
  • Demonstrable ability to prioritise and manage time effectively

Experience with other systems - travel booking, financial, SharePoint would be advantageous.
