Transpower is committed to empowering the energy future of New Zealand - Whakamana I te mauri hiko tū mai Aotearoa and plays an active role in transitioning the country to a decarbonised economy.

Our transmission network includes over 12,000km of transmission lines, 25,000 transmission towers, and 170 substations - assets that are worth more than $5 billion and provide direct benefits to our people and businesses across the motu.

About the team

Working with our highly skilled service provider team, works schedulers, and project managers, you'll ensure work is completed safely, to plan, and to agreed standards. Through building strong relationships that encourage best practices in a technically challenging work environment, you'll ensure human error and equipment-related faults are minimised and resolved quickly, without harm, and with minimal service interruption to our customers. Working alongside Grid Investigations and Project teams, you'll be involved in the following exciting projects/potential projects:

You're practically minded, with well-developed relationship management and indirect leadership skills, and a performance orientation. A full clean drivers' licence and the ability to travel will enable you to visit sites within your regional area. Previous roles will have honed your forward-thinking skills and you will investigate and solve problems at pace, both in the office and on site.

Known for your tech savvy and productive collaboration and influencing skills, you love to enable quick wins and have the tenacity and drive to ensure continuous improvement and practice excellence over the long term.
